We're independently owned and run — no corporate group, no distant shareholders. What we share across all our properties is a commitment to genuine hospitality, beautiful spaces, and the kind of care that makes guests want to come back. Old Amersham is at the heart of it.
A 15th-century coaching inn a few doors along the High Street from The Kings Arms. The Crown is every bit as old and full of character — open fires, real ales, and a menu focused on honest, well-cooked food — but with a slightly more modern design feel throughout. A favourite with locals and visitors alike.
Rooms at The Crown are individually styled and full of character. A great option if The Kings Arms is full, or if you simply prefer that more contemporary feel — with exactly the same warmth of welcome.
EV charging is available on site at The Crown — handy for guests staying at either property. Just register your car at reception.
Visit The Crown InnA beautifully converted historic Chapel licensed for civil ceremonies and partnerships. Kings Chapel is one of the most intimate and distinctive wedding venues in Buckinghamshire — exposed stonework, arched windows, and an atmosphere that's genuinely unlike anywhere else.
The Chapel works in partnership with The Kings Arms, with accommodation, dining, and the venue all within steps of each other on the High Street.

Crafted in Old Amersham
Old Amersham Gin
Old Amersham Gin is made in small batches using botanicals that reflect the character of the Chilterns — crisp, aromatic, and genuinely local. It's on the bar at both The Kings Arms and The Crown Inn, and available to take home.
The gin is a product of the town we love, made with the same attention to craft that runs through everything we do. If you'd like to know more about the distilling process or arrange a tasting, ask at the bar.
